We had a wonderful evening last night for the congregational welcome dinner for Father Paul! It was an evening full of delicious potluck, friendly conversation, a little singing of The Greatest Showman soundtrack, and even some hide-and-seek with Paul and the children! Everyone had a great time and left with gratitude and full bellies!
We had many wonderful donations for Bring-a-Plant Day this last Sunday. A variety of flowers and veggies were blessed during the worship services, and the children had a close-up look at them during the children’s sermon.
The veggies will be planted in the Vine Street Veggies Garden, and many of the flowers were planted in the wishing well out front, as well as on the office porch.
Our crafter-in-chief Laurel Iavarone is amazing! She has led a team of supremely-talented craft ladies who presented a beautiful table of Mother’s Day gifts, cards, treats and more yesterday for The Giving Boutique. She also set up a free card making table for anyone who wanted to participate. Both tables will be set up this Sunday as well, for anyone who missed out. As always, the proceeds from The Giving Boutique go to our outreach ministry here at St. Matthew’s. We appreciate all support! Even if you aren’t attending services on Sunday (which you’re all more than welcome to!) feel free to stop in at 9:15am or 11:30am to purchase during coffee hours.
