First Donations from Vine Street Veggies

We were excited this past Monday to deliver our first vegetable donations to the St. Joseph the Worker Food Pantry here in the Village of Liverpool. You can see below the produce that was delivered. We’re thrilled to be able to provide fresh produce for those in need in our community.

Spring Clean-Up and Garden Building

This past weekend, St. Matthew’s parishioners participated in the spring grounds clean-up at the church. We were grateful to have so many volunteers to help trim trees and bushes, clean out the gardens around the buildings, and plant flowers.

With the help of some of our local 4H group, we also built our 4 raised-beds for the Vine Street Veggies Garden here at St. Matthew’s. The garden will help feed the community with donations to the food bank at St. Joseph the Worker Church, as well as through our Open Table meal, our emergency food bag program, and more!

Many thanks to all of our dedicated and hard working volunteers!

The Garden has a Name!

Congratulations to Dayna Stearns for winning the garden naming contest here at St. Matthew’s! Our garden, which supports our local food pantry and outreach food ministries here at St. Matthew’s will be called “Vine Street Veggies”. Great job, Dayna!
