Education and Christian formation is for all ages at St. Matthew’s. Education not only includes the classic, intellectual learning, but it also includes other ways of being formed as Christians and growing on the journey.
We have an active Sunday morning education program for children and adults. Our kids participate in Sunday school, which is broken up by age into four classes.
Our Sunday morning adult forum is held at the same time as Sunday school and follows the The Wired Word Curriculum that combines current headlines with Biblical passages and theological reflection.
We also offer other courses of study throughout the year. Previous Adult Education classes include: The Episcopal Church 101, the Book of Ruth, the Millennium Development Goals, Anglican Identity, Christian Sabbath keeping, Contemplative Prayer Practices, and others.
During special times in the church year, like Advent and Lent, we also offer seasonal courses and retreats.
