Visiting us

We hope you will feel welcome you to join us anytime! Although we are steeped in tradition in the Episcopal Church, you wi ll experience a very warm and casual atmosphere at St. Matthew’s. We dress casual for services, our children play with toys in the pews (and in the nursery if they’d like!), and we love laughing, singing, and having conversations. We are inclusive and we welcoming to all - and we mean it! We know it can be difficult to walk into a new place, we’re also here to answer any questions you may have. Please email us!

We look forward to meeting you!

Who We Are

St. Matthew’s is a healthy mix of life-long Episcopalians and those who have found us at various points in their lives. Some came from other faiths, and some had never set foot in a church before they came for a visit. However you find us, you are welcome because we believe everyone is welcome at God’s table.

St. Matthew's is a warm and vibrant church where people of all ages gather to worship God and enjoy each other's company. hether you come every week or every once in a while, you will be welcomed into our church family.

Our purpose is to care for all of God’s children with the love of Jesus through joyful worship rooted in contemporary preaching and teaching, traditional worship, ministries for all generations, and reaching out to those in need.

About The Episcopal Church

Worship in The Episcopal Church is based in the ancient beauty of its red Book of Common Prayer, or by its encouragement of hard questions, or its commitment to helping those in need. We are a diverse church, united in common prayer and in our commitment to "seek and serve Christ in all persons."

The mission of the Episcopal Church is "to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ." At St. Matthew's, we strive to do this in many ways. The Episcopal Church draws from both the Protestant and Catholic traditions. It is part of the Anglican Communion, churches around the world in communion with the Church of England. Member churches share a common heritage and commitment to the authority of scripture, tradition, and reason.
